About me

Hi everyone, my name is Sonny and I'm a 4 year old Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix. I arrived at the centre in a very scared state as before coming here I'd never left the safety of my previous home or garden. I was understandably overwhelmed by everything so the team have spent lots of time making me comfortable and introducing me to a whole world of new things and they feel I am now ready for the next chapter in my life. I'm described as a very spirited individual - I've surprised everyone with how quickly I've adapted to the massive changes in my life so far and although I still have a long way to go and there will no doubt be plenty more hurdles for me to overcome they are confident I'll continue making amazing progress, especially with someone who loves doing lots of fun reward based training as I'm extremely intelligent and already have an array of tricks up my paws! I'd benefit from a quieter, adult only new home with someone who has previous rescue experience. The team think it would be great for me to live with a well socialised dog - I'm starting to show a very playful side around other dogs and learn to relax a little more in new environments when I'm in their company.
