Hi de hi! It’s Heidi here! I’m a 10 year old German Shepherd awaiting a new retirement home. My not so distant past is a sad one after sadly losing both of my humans and my home in the space of 2 weeks!
As you can imagine, I was very unsure of my new surroundings when I arrived here a the centre and it has taken a little while for me to adjust. Going from an old girl searching around the fields, looking for a way back to my humans and my home comforts to now gradually letting my guard down and letting the humans at the centre into my life. I have started to see that I can be happy again and enjoy myself.
I get excited to see my lead knowing that I’m going out on walk, stretching my legs and taking in different smells. I have met a few other doggy friends on my walks that are also staying here, although I’m don’t pay them much attention it has been nice sharing my walk with company. Oh and I can get strong on the lead at times! I get to excited to go places.
Over the last few days my tail has begun to wagg again! I get to choose my toys here and I love bringing them out into the field and showing the humans what I have. I have come so far that at the other day I even loved having some butt scratches!!
After finding myself again, I am ready to let another family love me and start a new chapter together! I would like my family to be adult only with no other animals so It’s just me and my humans. Just what I’m used to. So please if you think you have room in your heart for me and can give me the home I really deserve then please get in touch with the centre.
