Hi, my name is Socks and I am a handsome 2 year old boy. I was found as stray and when nobody came to claim me, I was brought the centre to find a new home.
My past is unknown but the staff here think some scary things may have happened to me because I am so nervous of new people. When approached I will cower and back away but with lots of time and patience you can earn my trust.
Although I am unsure of people I love other dogs and am much more confident when out with my canine pals so I will need to live with another dog in my new home. My new companion will need to be a confident and playful but gentle female who can show me the world isn’t such a scary place.
I will need to live in a quiet, adult only home in a rural area with understanding owners who have had nervous dogs like me before and will take things slowly with me. I will not cope living in a busy area and would be best suited to farm life.
