About me

Please meet Gunner,

Gunner is a 5 year old Staffie x Ridgeback. He came into our care because his owner was expecting a baby.

Gunner is a very sweet, affectionate boy with the most kind, caring nature. Everyone who meets him will quickly fall in love with him and he with them. He is a big cuddle monster who loves nothing more than fuss, attention and food!

Gunner loves treats and will do anything for them, which helps when it comes to training him. He was already very well behaved when he came into our care and already knew many commands such as sit, paw and bed. He has enjoyed learning new things while he has been in our care and he hopes his new owner will continue his training in his new home. Gunner still needs practise with his lead walk training as he is known to pull on the lead when he gets excited. He will also need some more dog socialisation training as he can be reactive towards other dogs.

Gunner was known to be reactive towards strangers in his previous home and children whilst in foster. There is still a chance he could show this behaviour in the future or in a new home. Because of this, he is looking for an owner who has had experience with dogs with this behaviour, someone who would be willing to work with him and help train this out of him if this was to happen again.

Gunner needs an adult only home with no other pets so he could have all of the attention to himself.

If you could provide Gunner with the home he is looking for or you would like more information, please contact reception.
