My name is Simba. I am a 5 year old Labrador who arrived here at the centre due to my owners poor health. Trindledown Farm normally helps older animals but due to my special case they agreed to take me in.
Sadly my world has been turned upside down recently, my owners poor health had meant lots of strangers arriving at my home, this is something I struggled to deal with and often found myself resource guarding my home and my owner, something I have always been known to do but at this stage its become difficult to manage.
To the people who know me I am a lovely big friendly teddy bear, I do have guarding tendencies so any new owner will need to have had previous experience with this.
Vets have always been my biggest fear, the masks and aprons just terrify me and this has led me to bite. Obviously now the whole world is wearing masks so my new owner will need to continue with my training in this area.
My ideal home will be with someone who spends a lot of time outside. I need plenty of exercise and someone to dedicate their time to ensure I get at least 2 long walks per day.
My new owner will need to be incredibly strong as I can pull on the lead. Due to my history of resource guarding I would need an adult only home.
