About me

Hi everyone, my name's Meeko and I'm a year old Lurcher. I'm looking for new owners who have experience owning nervous dogs who can help me gain confidence and enjoy life to the full. My friends say that I have a very worried side to me and they are helping bring me out of my shell but I'll need patient and understanding new owners to help continue introducing me to the big wide world with lots of positive experiences. I'm a typical young dog in many other aspects, I can get very easily excited and forget my manners so it'd be great if my new owners could continue showing me proper dog etiquette, especially when I meet new people and other dogs - I find this so exciting I tend to bounce all over everyone and everything and my friends say I'm such a big lad I need to really keep all four of my paws on the ground! Luckily I'm very smart and love my food and I'm suprising everyone with how quickly I pick things up - I'm a very good boy! I do like being with people, especially when I've got that special bond with someone so I'd really like it if my new owners didn't have to leave me on my own for too long. I also really like other dogs and my friends think it would benefit me greatly to live with another dog as I learn a lot from them, so a good role model in my new home would be amazing! I am big and clumsy and would be too much for little dogs but a dog of similar size would be great, especially if they like running around as much as I do! Unfortunately I won't be able to live with cats or small furries as I find it far too much fun chasing them! I am very nervous boy and have shown a lot of fear in certain situations so I am looking for a quiet adult only home where my new owners can devote lots of time to me.
