About me

Becky is the sweetest dog who will bring pleasure to whoever is fortunate enough to home her.  She is seeking a comfy sofa, ideally with a pillow or two and she is always keen to snuggle up close to her people.

She enjoys her walks and is happy to go out for a walk rain or shine, day and evening.  Some mornings can be a little slow and sometimes her back legs aren’t quite as spritely as she would like them to be but she is always keen to go out on a walk.  She walks beautifully on a lead and is always happy to meet other people and say hello and be petted.  She is not always so thrilled to meet other dogs when out on a lead. She is also not a fan of cats.

Becky likes her naps, loves a run around the garden and is always happy to follow any indication of a snack, in typical Staffie fashion!  She has little interest in toys but enjoys the smells and sights of being outside as well as interacting with people when she’s in the house, garden or out on a stroll.

At night, she does not like to be shut into a room and likes to ideally sleep on the sofa or in her soft basket.  She is incontinent overnight and we have been able to help Becky with that issue by using dog nappies.  Becky is patient in having a nighttime nappy put on and she has not made any attempt to pull the nappy off at night.  The nappies go into the washing machine and dry quickly.  She is happy to wear those overnight and that means she has a comfortable night’s sleep and so do we.

Her skin can sometimes be itchy and she is calm, stoic and amenable in having a weekly bath to help her skin.

Becky is completely housetrained (with a very occasional accident) and will sit by the back door to be let out.  Becky does not bark or growl at all.  We have only heard her bark softly when she is having a dog dream! She is partially deaf which is probably age related but she understands exactly what is asked of her, through hand signals and body language and is always looking to please.  Becky is looking for a home where she can spend the rest of her days giving and receiving love and care. She is a gentle soul and we have been privileged to foster her.

Becky is a 12 year old girl looking for a quiet home without any other pets. Becky can live with children age 7 and over. Becky will need to live on a ground floor property which has access to and from the home without stairs.
