Hi, I'm Bruno, and I'm a 3 year old Collie X Spaniel. I'm looking for a very special new home and owners who have experience with nervous Collies/Spaniels with guarding issues. Unfortunately I've had quite a few homes already which has been quite unsettling for me so it's super important my new home is my forever home, somewhere I can settle, relax and have boundaries, structure and routine.
Unfortunately I don't have a lot of confidence when it comes to meeting new people and can be very wary and nervous. It's important my new owners are committed to doing a large amounts of visits at the centre, this will enable us to form a nice relationship and give me the time to come around to my new humans at my own pace.
You can probably imagine that having collie and spaniel in me means I'm very high energy (and very strong on the lead if not doing my training), so new owners with an active lifestyle is a MUST!! I absolutely love being out and on the go, exploring new places is the best! I'm also incredibly intelligent and it would really benefit me to have new owners who like to do lots of training, I love using my collie brain! I've also got an incredible sniffer and love games that involve using my nose, especially if it's finding hidden treats - I'm great at that!
I do have strong guarding traits which my handlers will be happy to discuss with anyone interested in giving me a loving home, because of my guarding issues I will need an adult only home with no visiting children and will need to be the only pet in the home. Due to the large amount of visits to the centre and prospective home visits that any potential owner will be required to do we are unable to rehome Bruno out of Cornwall.
