Hi everyone! My name is Venus and I’m a very special pooch on the lookout for my perfect best friend! I do need a very special kind of home so please do read on and, if you feel you could offer me my new home, then please do get in touch with the humans. I’d previously been living at the Somerset centre where I made good friends with some of the team so moving here to sunny Clacton was scary at first. But I put on my big girl pants and I’ve been proving to everyone here how clever, loving and amazing I truly am.
My favourite thing in the whole wide world is fetch. I could play it allll day! In fact, I challenge you to find a dog better at fetch than me. I absolutely love my toys, each and every one of them, but the squeaky kind are super fun. I can’t wait to get a forever home with my very own toy box!
My second love in life is cuddles but only once you have truly earned my trust. I form very strong bonds to my favourite people; so much so that I can’t control my wiggly butt when I see them! I’ve been waiting a long time for a best friend, perhaps you have too? I’ve got a big heart full of love waiting to give to the right person.
I do have lots of insecurities and I’m looking for a very experienced dog owner. I am very worried by new people and it takes me some time to trust; so I will need a very quiet home with an understanding of my need for my own safe space. I feel the same with other animals too so I need a pet free home and walks in quieter areas. I am really in need of a rural set-up. I’m looking for a best friend who’s on the same page as us Collies. Someone who’s happy to don a pair of wellies and join me on long countryside walks rather than city life. Because I reserve my love for those who have earned my trust, you’ll need to be able to visit me here in Clacton very regularly so we can strike up a friendship. But if you think we could grow to love each other and become the best of friends then give my humans here a call! They’re waiting!
