Hello, I'm Lucy a 2 year old Beagle. I was found as a stray and brought to the centre here. I was initially very scared and have improved with my confidence. I have bundles of energy and I'm super playful with my toys, although I do worry about the important ones and sometimes try to bury them. My carers don't think I've probably lived in a home much as I find it difficult to settle sometimes and have come out with different behaviours depending where I'm staying. I'm learning my manners like not jumping on the table which the humans don't seem to be keen on but I am typical of my breed in many ways with liking my food, bit of digging, bit of barking and acting like a 6 month old pup. I need proper wood walks so I can use my nose to follow the wildlife, just not enough to sniff at the beach or road walks. I love meeting other dogs and full on play. I'm not for the faint hearted and you need to keep up with my needs. I would prefer to live with at least one other dog that is of similar build and energy. I also have a very sweet side, I love cuddles, stretching on you, sleeping under the duvet or on your lap. I really need someone who can connect with me on the inside and make the relationship I need to learn how to be part of a family. I'd love Beagle experienced owners (they will understand), also I'd prefer a more rural location as some noises from the neighbours can spook me. I can be worried but am fun, loving, sweet, energetic and cuddly, if you would like to offer me a place in your heart please contact the centre, thank you.
