My name is George. I am a 18 month old Dogue de Bordeaux who arrived here at the centre when my owner was taken ill.
I may look like a big tough dog but I am actually a rather sensitive but loveable boy who is very eager to please. The staff have spent quite a long time building my confidence and the crazy puppy character has made quite an impact and I am told I am quite the favourite around the staff.
Being a large breed I can be strong at times especially when I see something interesting, my new owner would need to be fairly strong to handle me. Someone with bull breed experience is a must. Due to my nervousness around loud noises a home without young children is also essential.
Previously I have lived with dogs but would you believe it they were a little mean to me so I can be a little fractious around meeting dogs.
If you are a calm, quiet person who would like to offer George a loving forever home then please do come and visit, this boy has the heart of a lion and really will make such a wonderful companion.
