Hi everyone, my name's Dillon and I'm an 8 year old Lurcher. I came to the centre as my previous owner sadly passed away. My friends describe me as vibrant, playful, extremely loving and loyal! I'm a really sweet, sensitive soul who will make the most amazing companion for someone! Unfortunately I wasn't socialised with other dogs previously so my friends here have worked super hard with me to make walks more enjoyable for me and any potential new owner, I am now muzzle trained and wear my muzzle when I'm out on my walks, this is to make things safer for me and is a heads up to other dog owners that I'm not always dog friendly. My friends say I've come on leaps and bounds with my training and I'm now able to sit and focus on a tasty treat whilst letting other dogs walk by, I have even made friends with some lovely lurcher ladies that I now go for walks with. It's important my new owners have the experience to continue my socialising and positive reward based training in order for me to feel more relaxed and so that myself and my new paw-rents can have lots of lovely stress free walks. My ideal home would be somewhere in a rural location where I can enjoy lots of quiet time, and I'd love a nice secure garden where I have room to run and play with my toys (this is super important as I absolutely love my toys, playtime is my favourite) as I'll need to be kept on a lead at all times in public. I have lots of love to give someone, I'll bond quickly with my new owners and make a very affectionate companion in the right home. I could possibly live with older teenage children that are used to being around boisterous dogs, but it may be more beneifcial for me and my training to have an adult only home.
