About me

Hello my name is Zeus and I am a gentle giant. I’m a 6 year-old, Doberman cross and I found myself in rescue having been in kennels in Spain for a year, until another charity brought me over to the UK and I found space here at NAWT.

I’m a big, lovely, affectionate, playful, goofball, and the staff here can’t understand how I came to be in kennels for such a long time, but they are very glad I was saved.. so am I! Even the vet has been delighted by what a lovely boy I am, even if I am a bit of a fidget.

I can be a little enthusiastic on the lead and would best suit someone who has had large breeds before and is prepared to continue my reward based training. I enjoy spending time with people and having fun playing games! I also love to play with interactive feeders, especially my Kong!

I am doing well with my basic training, I can sit, down, give paw and exchange toys for treats. I love to roll around on a big soft bed and sometimes even like my belly rubbed. I can’t believe how lucky I am when people show me attention, so I get a bit wiggly and giggly.

I love company and, as I have not lived in a home for some time now, I will need someone who is able to spend time with me and to build up any time that I am left alone gradually once I have settled.

I am looking for a home with adults or families who have children aged 14 and above.

At the moment I would prefer a home without other pets, as I quite deserve to be the centre of someone’s attention after all I’ve been through.
