About me

Hi, I'm Fluke, a 7 year old Husky. I'm looking for new owners who have  previous experience owning huskies, who will understand my quirks and the requirements of my breed. Although I am very beautiful, I am also a complex boy who needs lots of time and patience. My potential new owners will need to do lots of visits at the centre to establish a strong relationship with me as I am uncomfortable being handled and touched unless I have a good bond with someone first. My favourite thing in life is walkies, and I'll go for miles, so new owners with an active lifestyle is a must! Unfortunately I'm not fond of other dogs, I have been working on my social skills but it's important I'm muzzled when out and about and walks in quieter areas with less dogs around would be best. I'll also need a new home with a large secure garden where I can run and play as I will need to be kept on a lead or long line at all times when out in public. I will need an adult only home with minimal visitors and no visiting children. Due to the large amount of visits to the centre and prospective home visits any potential owner will be required to do as part of the adoption process, plus follow up training and support once rehomed,  we are unable to rehome Fluke out of Cornwall.
