About me

Hello there! My name is Bingo and I'm a rather handsome eleven-month-old Saluki cross. I've found myself at the centre due to my previous owners having to move into no pet accommodation. Previous to that I was rescued from a situation where I was not being cared for properly.

I'm a very friendly boy who craves all the attention I can get from my carers. Last December I had to undergo a femoral head excision so it is crucial that my new owners are able to keep me calm and build my exercise up slowly. I love other dogs but due to the op I am not allowed to bounce around with them like I want to! I am getting used to travelling in the van and am having regular hydrotherapy to help build up the muscles on my legs. This will need to continue once I’m home but my carers can give you more info on this. I'm a lovely natured boy with a huge amount of love to give!

I'm looking for a home that is understanding of my medical requirements. I could potentially live with a very laid back and tolerant dog providing our interactions are monitored by any new owner. I have previously lived in harmony with a cat too so could do again as long as my home visit was to go well. I would be open to living with a child who is especially calm. I am not used to being left at all and can get quite worried by this. Any new owner will need to be around all the time at first and willing to put the work in to gradually leaving me on my own.

*I have a part time foster family and anyone interested in me should ask to see my foster diary to get an insight of what i'm like in the home*
