Hello there! My name is Bingo and I'm a rather handsome 9 month old saluki cross. I've found myself at the centre due to my previous owners having to move into no pet accommodation. Previous to that I was rescued from a situation where I was not being cared for properly.
I'm a very friendly boy who loves and craves all the attention I can get from my carers. I love other dogs too but due to medical reasons (that my carers can explain to you) I am currently having my exercise built up slowly and, therefore, am not allowed to bounce around with them like I want to! I have been told I have an enthusiastic and exuberant introduction so need my socialisation built up around calmer dogs who can teach me how to calm it down a little. I am getting used to travelling in the van and am having regular hydrotherapy to help build up the muscles on my legs. My carers can tell you more about this. I'm a lovely natured boy with a huge amount of love to give!
I'm looking for a home that is understanding of my medical requirements. I could potentially live with a very laid back and tolerant dog depending on introductions. They would also need to not be the type that will get me all excited and so hinder my recovery. I have previously lived in harmony with a cat too so could do again as long as my home visit was to go well. I could live with children aged 8+ who will be sensible around me and who are used to excitable dogs like myself. I am not used to being left at all and can get quite worried by this so my new owner will need to be around all the time at first and willing to put the work in with me on this.
