Hi there, my name’s Eddie. I am a handsome eight-year-old Beagle cross Patterdale. I came into the centre as, sadly, my owners were moving abroad and couldn’t take me with them.
I am a very friendly chap that loves to say 'hi' to everyone that I meet. I am also full of energy and I’m looking for an active home where I can go out exploring with my new owners. I travel really well so the adventures we could go on are endless. It is important that I find someone with an extra secure garden otherwise I may accidently wander off following a scent.
I need owners that have the time and dedication to put into my ongoing training as I still have a lot to learn. I take quite a strong hold on the lead so my handlers are currently working on this with me. I can be reactive to dogs at a distance so I will need to find a new owner that will help me to build up my socialisation gradually. It is important I am kept on a lead around other canines and I find someone who can help me with a bit of self control.
I would prefer to find someone who is home for majority of the day and would suit active owners with terrier experience. I could possibly live with older, sensible kids that are used to older dogs like myself. I would be best homed as an only pet.
