Hey there, my name's Bertie and I am a handsome one-year-old Labrador. I came into the centre because my previous owner found me too active so I am now looking for a new home with owners that can keep up!
I really enjoy being on the go and, as I'm just a young dog, I need a new family who are around the majority of the time to keep me busy. In my previous home I wasn't comfortable with being left. I need this to be built up slowly.
I'm very people orientated and love to say hello to everyone! Staff here have been working on my polite greetings as I can get myself a little over stimulated! Around other dogs I am much the same as I also get very excited and need to work on calmer greetings.
I'm looking for a home with a new family who have the time and energy to continue my training and socialisation. I need them to be around for the majority of the day as I am not used to being left. I could live with older sensible children 14+ that are used to bouncy dogs like myself and who can assit with my training. I could possibly live with another dog depending on introductions first. It would be best if I do not live with any cats. I'd make a fantastic companion in the right home!
