Hello my name is Bear. I am a handsome Lurcher born in May 2017. I came into the centre as I was found as a stray.
I am a very excitable chap that loves going out and about exploring new places. I am a good traveller and would love to go on adventures with you. I am confident when meeting new people and am quite happy to say hello to everyone. My meet and greet skills could do with some work as I do get quite excited.
My new owners will need to be patient and have the time to continue my training with me as I am still learning new skills. I am quite enthusiastic when meeting other dogs and need to learn some more social skills when it comes to this. I would benefit from continued socialisation with calmer dogs.
I would benefit from a large and very secure garden to run around in as with my long legs I would have the potential to escape if the boundaries were too low. I would need new owners that are aware of the breed traits of a typical Lurcher. I could potentially live with an older, calm dog however this would need testing first here at the centre. I cannot live with a cat. I could live with sensible teenagers that are used to a bouncy dog like myself.
