Hi, my name is Peppa and I am a gorgeous three year old Lurcher. I came into the centre after I was found straying.
I am an affectionate and friendly young lurcher that is happy to meet and greet people when I am out and about. I am very people orientated and get quite excited when meeting people. I just want as much fuss and I can get. My carers tell me that I walk well on my lead but my basic training could do with some sharpening up. I am looking for new owners that are able to work on this with me, as I enjoy my training.
I am very happy and relaxed when going out in the centre van exploring new places. This is something that I'm hoping my new owners will want to do with me in my new home. I can be a little unsure of dogs initially but once I am introduced I am happy to walk alongside them. I would like my new owners to continue my socialisation around other dogs to build my confidence.
I am looking for active owners that are aware of my lurcher traits. I would also benefit from a large secure garden to run around and play in. I could potentially live with sensible children aged 12+. I could possibly live with a calm, male dog of a similar breed and/or size. However this would need testing first here at the centre. I could not live with a cat.
