Hi my name is Rafiki and I am a handsome 7 year old boy. I’m a friendly lad but I’ve lived a life in kennels so sometimes the outside world can seem scary for me. I can be nervous of new situations, people and dogs so I need an experienced and gentle owner who will help me to worry a little less.
I’m a sensitive soul and can be aloof with strange people but once I know you’re safe I am very affectionate and love human company! I’ve been at NAWT for a while now, the staff tell me I am their favourite (but I’m not allowed to tell the other dogs!), I know they love me but it’s not the same as having my own home with my very own family.
I have had a few medical issues and will need help with my socialisation but I have a lot of love to give and I know I will make a great companion for somebody – did you know my name literally means “friend” in Swahili?
I am looking for a quiet home with adults or families with children age 12 and over, and I will need to be the only pet in the home.
