About me

Hello, my name is Flower. I am gorgeous female Lurcher born approximately in 2011. I came in as a stray and have been at the centre for some time now and sadly I have yet to find my perfect home.
I am very wary of new people so I require sensible and slow introductions. Anyone interested in adopting me will need to be understanding of this and willing to make the effort to gain my trust by visiting me at the centre several times before I'm happy to be handled by you. Staff and volunteers have ensured my basic training is good, along with lots of fun tricks... but with your help I could learn so much more!
I am a very good traveller and love going out on road trips. When I get back from my adventures, I soon settle down in the home for a nap. It is important when I am out on my walks that I wear a muzzle, I am a big girl (35kgs+) and I have a very high prey drive so it is vital I find someone strong enough to hold onto me!
It is essential I find an adult only rural home with no visiting children. It is also important I find someone experienced with dogs – I am not suited as a first time dog . I could possibly live with a neutered male of a similar breed type to me, but we would need to do a couple dog mixes here at the centre first.
I now have my own Facebook page! Please find my page by searching Flower... then like and share it with all your friends.
