About me

Please meet Bean,

Bean came into our care from our local vets as a stray, she is around 7 months old.

Bean has not had a great start in life, after being taken to the vets as a stray the vets discovered that she was not very well. She stayed in the vets care for a few weeks while they tried to find a diagnosis, this involved multiple blood tests, xrays and medication. Because of this Bean can be rather feisty as she seems to have formed a negative association with people. She is known to growl and hiss when you approach her however, she will calm down after a short time and allow you to handle her. She is hoping to find an owner who is experienced with nervous cats, someone who can show her that people are not so scary and help her build her confidence back up. Bean is still very young so has lots of time to learn.

The vets discovered that Bean suffers with a rare condition that she will have to be on medication for throughout the rest of her life. She is hoping to find an owner who has some experience with administering medication or someone willing to learn. Bean's condition affects her growth so she will remain very tiny throughout her whole life, weighing in at around 1kg. More information about Beans condition and medication will be given to potential adopters.

Due to Beans condition she will have to be kept as an indoor cat, she would like to find an owner who is around most of the day to give her the care she needs. She would like to be the only pet in the house and she would prefer a home without children.

Bean loves to play just like any other kitten, she likes to play with most toys and she is often found entertaining herself in her cat pen batting toys around, however her favourite toy is a fishing rod toy.

If you could provide Bean with the special home that she needs, please contact reception.
