Gail

Hi there, my name is Gail, or Gail the Quail to give me my full title. As you might be able to guess from my name, I’m a quail. I came into the centre after I was found, rather panicked and alone, in somebody’s back garden.

As the only quail here at the centre, I spend my time at the bottom of a secure outside aviary which I share with a canary and some zebra finches. The finches are quite sociable and do come down to say hello to me, but it’s not really the same as having other quail about. If you have some ground nesting birds and are looking for another to join the flock, get in touch with the centre as I’d really love some more company.
