Meet Maple (& Rufus)!

Hello everyone, I am Maple and this is my brother Rufus, and we are a pair of very scared cats that are looking for a new home together. We are both 4-year-old boys, and we were originally adopted from the centre when we were kittens, but we had to come back due to a change in circumstances.

We are looking for a semi-rural home that has a nice and cosy outdoor but sheltered space that we could live in, as we find the presence of people all of the time too overwhelming. Once we have settled in, we would like to be able to go out and explore the area around us, as we love being outside. A farm or yard set up would be ideal for us, as we could have more freedom and not have too many expectations from people.

Rufus is the more tolerant of the two of us, and the staff have been able to touch him but he doesn't enjoy it. I most definitely do not want people to touch me, it is so scary and overwhelming.

We know that most people want cats that are affectionate and like to be around them, but we are really hoping that someone out there will have a home for us to settle into and learn that people aren't that scary! Getting us out of the scary cattery and into a safe place would be so rewarding for someone.
