Meet George !

Hi everyone, my name is George, and I am a 2 1/2 year old male ex-racing Greyhound that is looking for a wonderful home for me to retire in.

I am a bit of a shy boy, that relies on the company of other greyhounds for confidence. I am currently living with Penny, another greyhound here at the centre, and we get on really well. When I am away from Penny I do cry quite a lot, so I would really like to find a home either with Penny, or with another existing greyhound.

I can live with older children that can respect my space and give me time to get to know them. As I mentioned, I really do need to live in a home with another greyhound or a similarly sized dog, as being on my own is much too worrying. I can't live with cats as I want to chase them.

I am not used to being left on my own in a home environment, so I will need there to be someone around that can stay with me whilst I settle in. Then I can begin to learn how to cope with being left on my own.
