A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join National Animal Welfare Trust’s animal care team as a part time Animal Care Assistant, at our Cornwall centre that is based in Hayle.
You will be working for a charity that never stops caring for its animals and people, striving to give every animal the best chance of finding a new home. Operating five rehoming centres and three shops across the south of England, we are committed to improving the lives of the UK’s pets, helping around 1,500 animals each year.
The Animal Care Assistants are responsible for the general care and welfare of the animals during their journey with the Trust.
The successful candidate will be hard working and reliable. Have a cheerful, confident and friendly approach, with the ability to work on their own or as part of a team. They will demonstrate the flexibility and empathy required when working with animals and a confident, professional and courteous approach to members of the public. They will show a commitment to the aims of the National Animal Welfare Trust and possess a willingness and ability to learn and follow instructions. A uniform is provided and must be worn during working hours.
