As part of a major strategic review, we have created the role of Director of Operations, which will be pivotal in delivering the Trust’s strategic aims. The initial focus will be on reviewing the operational activity across our five centres and implementing new centre structures and ways of working that deliver a sustainable future for all NAWT centres.

Critical to success in the role is the ability to understand all aspects of NAWT’s operational activities and to plan, lead and achieve continuous improvement in our rescue and rehoming work, as well as maintaining high standards of animal welfare and customer service.

About you:

The ideal person for this role will have a strong track record of management and of leading teams through periods of significant change, you will also have experience of the following:

  • Significant senior management experience;
  • Experience of managing diverse operations and across multi-site locations;
  • Excellent communication and customer care skills;
  • Demonstrable evidence of management of health & safety in the workplace;
  • The ability to develop and implement systems, policies and procedures robust enough to be open to external scrutiny;
  • The ability to be flexible and work as part of a team.

Although not essential, experience within an animal organisation would be beneficial for this role.
