A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our fundraising team at Head Office as an Administrative Assistant for immediate employment.  This is an exciting role, ideal for someone passionate about developing a career in fundraising and the charity sector.

You will be working for a charity that never stops caring for its animals and people, striving to give every animal the best chance of finding a new home.  Operating five rehoming centres and three shops across the south of England, we are committed to improving the lives of the UK’s pets, helping around 1,500 animals each year.

Location: Head Office based, Watford WD25 8WT (with some flexibility to work from home)

Salary Range: £7,904 - £9,360 per annum (£9.50 - £11.25 per hour) - dependent on experience

Hours: Part-time, 16 hours per week (working pattern can be flexible)

About the role:

Reporting to the Fundraising & Marketing Manager, some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Processing donations
  • Maintaining accurate supporter records
  • Carrying out day to day administrative activities as necessary to support the Fundraising & Marketing team
  • Maintaining consistent and timely communications with the charity’s supporters.      

About you:

To excel in this role, you will be self-motivated, keen to learn and able to work efficiently to meet deadlines.  You will be discreet and honest, understanding the confidential nature of some of the information you will be working with.  Experience using Raiser’s Edge or a similar charity database would also be desirable.

You will have a positive and proactive approach to work, with excellent customer service skills, having the customer and the charity at the heart of everything you do. Above all we’re looking for someone who can bring enthusiasm, combined with a practical, can do attitude.
