Cat Enrichment & Cattery Cleaning- Open Paw

Help our  Animal Care Team with cleaning the accommodation for cats waiting to be re-homed and providing enrichment for the cats by spending time with, playing & grooming. All following the Open Paw for Cats programme.

Tasks include- To be trained on the Open Paw for Cats Program to the appropriate level (please refer to the Open Paw for Cats information sheet) and to use that training with nominated cats.

To assist the animal care team in the general cleaning of the cattery, cattery equipment and cattery areas as per full instruction given. Please note that you will not be spending the whole volunteer session cleaning as you will be doing a mix of cleaning and enrichment !

This role would suit any cat lover who is happy to learn more about cats and cat behaviour!

Days available: 9am-12pm weekly Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays or Sundays. Fortnightly available on Mondays.

Location: Heaven’s Gate Farm, West Henley, Langport, Somerset TA10 9BE

Transport needed: Due to the location of the centre, volunteers require own transport.  There are no public transport links to the centre.

Please note that the minimum age for this role is 18. You must also have up to date tetanus cover. This role is not suitable for summer only volunteers due to investment in training.
