Can you handle the cold?

On the 30th December Woburn Lido is kindly opening it's doors to NAWT supporters to brave the cold waters of their open air pool to help us raise money for our centre. Each session lasts 30 minutes long - although you don't have to stay in this long - and no previous cold water swimming experience is needed. The expert team from the lido will be on hand to give advice and the pool will be manned by life guards at all times.

Cold water swimming has been proved to have so many health benefits including enhancing mental clarity, activating your endorphins, and increasing metabolism to name just a few! The pool is generally at around a cool 12 degrees during winter and is a very popular activity in the local community.

This event is limited to over 18's over please.

Fundraising:

If you're booking this event - get yourself sponsored too! We can send you a sponsor form, or you can use the Just Giving page that's been set up, for people to donate to in honour of your bravery! The Just Giving link is:

What do I need to wear:

Just a swimming costume / trunks is fine, and a woolly hat is also recommended. Of course bring a towel and some warm clothes for after.

For more information about the swim itself, have a look at the Woburn Lido's website, and also check out their Frequently Asked Questions.
