No two days are ever alike when you work in an animal rescue centre. It’s one of the many reasons I love my job, every day, every person and every animal that passes through our doors is unique and it keeps the job exciting and challenging! Whilst there may be no typical day here, dogs love an established routine and we work hard to provide one that they can depend on.
What a day our Clacton centre had hosting their exciting summer fete and fun dog show! Events like these enable us to raise money for the charity, so we can continue helping as many animals as possible!
The day raised a fantastic £2,058.11!
There is nothing more rewarding than when one of our animals finally finds their perfect forever home, even more so when that animal has been in our care for a long time. It is the ultimate job satisfaction!
Milo arrived at NAWT in Clacton from another charity who find rescue space for dogs in pounds. When he jumped off the back of the van, he was a bit of a bull in a china shop, perhaps a little too enthusiastic to get to know everyone and everything!
Beautiful black and white girl Cfur is looking for a forever home.
Although she can be quite timid, Cfur, 4, is very loving and enjoys a gentle fuss.
Sadly this gorgeous girl has found it hard to settle into cattery life and she spends a lot of time hiding, which means nobody gets to see her gorgeous face when they visit our Hertfordshire centre!
The animal staff have worked with Cfur to help her gain confidence and she now enjoys playing, a mini fishing rod toy is her favourite.
