For almost four years, Rocco has waited. Waited for a home to call his own, and a family to whisk him away from our Somerset centre for good.
Rocco is a six-year-old crossbreed with glistening brown eyes, who hopes the search to find an owner will soon come to an end.
Although he is very excitable, Rocco loves training and has an array of tricks up his sleeve!
He’s mastered the basics and much more at his time at Heaven’s Gate.
Rocco is a large dog and would benefit from an owner with large dog experience.
NAWT takes on the work of HULA Animal Rescue
We are delighted to announce that on Monday 27th November, NAWT took over the running of HULA Animal Rescue based in Aspley Guise near Milton Keynes. We have had a long-standing and supportive friendship with HULA and it is a perfect fit with NAWT as they rehome cats, dogs, rabbits and other small furries. They also have a pony, goats, sheep, pigs and various ducks and fowl.
Despite our sites being closed to the public earlier this week, it didn't stop our dedicated staff getting to work and caring for our animals.
And NAWT dogs definitley weren't complaining about the snow day! Here are some lovely shots of them:
As snow begins to fall across the UK, it leaves dog owners wondering if they should wrap up their perfect pooch to keep them safe and warm.
Cheeko has had a long wait for his forever home. The beautiful mastiff mix first arrived at our Cornwall centre many years ago, and has consistently been overlooked by potential owners.
Now seven-years-old, and despite being a bit of a local celebrity (he even has his own homeware range!), our staff feel that Cheeko may never find his perfect match.
Centre manager Louise said: “Sadly Cheeko shows signs of having harsh handling in his past and is now very wary of people.
