What’s On: Virtual events at your local NAWT

In line with government guidelines, every NAWT centre has had to cancel all fundraising events until further notice. This means they have lost a vital source of income at a time when they need the funding more than ever. On top of this they are each losing important touchpoints with their local community, with the centres having to close their gates to all visitors, and animal rehoming work being halted.

At difficult times like this, the strength of our community spirit is more important than ever. For this reason, the teams at your local NAWT are adapting to the changing environment and doing their utmost to stay connected with you.

Here is your first weekly round-up of virtual events to look out for at your local centre. We really hope you can join us:

23rd March – 2nd April – Online Dog Show

Photo entries are being accepted until 5pm on Monday 30th March, and following this the team will be asking for your help to vote for your favourites! Voting for class winners will take place until Thursday 2nd April, and then voting for Best in Show will take place until Monday 6th April. Certificates and Rosettes will be awarded to the top 3 of each class and all 1st place winners will automatically enter our Best In Show Class.

Our Fun Dog Shows are normally the highlight of our year, when we get to see you all and your wonderful dogs. We are determined not to let the current circumstances ruin the fun, so pop over to the Cornwall Facebook page to see some wonderful pictures and vote for your favourites.
