Week 3: Virtual events at your local NAWT

As the national lockdown continues this week, the teams at your local NAWT are hoping to keep you entertained with the following virtual events:

NAWT Clacton

NAWT Clacton will be reaching out to their young supporters this week as they launch their 'Rescue Me' story and poem competition for 5 to 13 year olds. Inspired by Radio 2's 500 word competition, the centre is asking children to get their imaginations working and to come up with a story or poem about a rescue animal and the importance of giving them a second chance.

There's also the opportunity to join resident yoga instructor and centre receptionist, Jo for a few downward facing dogs and cat stretches in the cattery enrichment pen as she helps get people moving with a short seasonal yoga session.

Finally, don’t forget – they still have a few breeds up for grabs in their Match a Mutt competition!

NAWT Cornwall

Don’t forget to get your entries in for their Virtual Fancy Dress Party. You have until 5pm on Monday 20th April. The NAWT Cornwall Facebook community will then be asked to vote for their winners, so make sure you ask your friends and family to vote!

NAWT Berkshire

This week the team in Berkshire will continue with their online Q&A sessions with some local experts.

This Thursday at 11:30am you can catch Tobi, Artist & Photographer:

Tobi Corney has seen the world from a number of different angles and it shows in his photography.

He’ll take you through his techniques and tricks and answer any questions you have on professional photography from the ground, as well as drone photography and capturing unique moments.

After that, stay tuned for Lindsey from The White Horse Flower Company at 2:30pm:

Lindsey Kitchin established The White Horse Flower Company two decades ago, from her creative outlet into a successful event floristry business. She will be turning to your gardens for inspiration to bring some creative ideas into the house. Lindsey has 51.8K+ Instagram followers and runs regular workshops and individual tuition from Honesty Cookery School in Newbury for £550 per person.

Head to the NAWT Berkshire Facebook page to take part.

NAWT Bedfordshire

The team at our HULA centre in Aspley Guise are sharing their top training tips with you via videos on their Facebook page.

Check out their first one here.

NAWT Hertfordshire

Don’t forget there is still time to enter their online photo competition.
