Grace required emergency surgery if she was going to survive the attack and was immediately rushed to the vet. Thankfully, the vet was able to perform lifesaving surgery, which left her with many battle scars but a whole life ahead of her to enjoy.
However, young Cherry had a problem; she was heavily pregnant with four extremely large puppies, in comparison to her size. There was absolutely no way Cherry or the puppies were going to survive the full pregnancy; it would have killed all five of them. Unfortunately, Cherry’s pregnancy had to be terminated in order to save at least one life.
