Happy Mother’s Day to all the mum’s out there! Today we’d like to introduce you to new mum Molly.
Molly has the sweetest face and an even sweeter nature, she arrived in our care after her previous owner found out she was pregnant.
A gorgeous black and white Staffordshire bull terrier mix, Molly is a gentle soul who entered motherhood unaware and confused about her new surroundings.
With just a few weeks before she was due to give birth, a ‘puppy room’ was set up by staff, ready for Molly and her special arrivals.
It was stocked with blankets, heat pads and enough room so the new mum could wander and find the perfect spot to deliver her eight puppies.
Mum Molly snuggles her new born litter
A few months ago, Molly gave birth to five healthy boys and three girls – with a variety of markings! Two are all white, others are brindle and some are black and white like their mum.
Amazingly, all of the puppies have survived and Molly is doing well as it was a difficult and exhausting birth she proved herself to be a fantastic mum, who just needed support until she was able to look after them.
The puppies developed quickly and each began to grow into a unique personality! Bullseye was a sleepy puppy who loved to be on top of the puppy pile, Bertha adored people and enjoyed being held whereas Spud was a little shy at first but soon came around.
We wish them all the best in their wonderful new homes!
