Special staffie dreams of forever home this Christmas

Clever lad Zak has been in kennels for some time, but this gorgeous Staffordshire Bull Terrier is ready to find himself a forever home.

This handsome boy is five-years-old, and although he can be anxious around new people, he's friendly and loyal once he gets to know you.

It takes a little bit of time for Zak to trust new situations, but as soon as he does, he's a relaxed pooch and will make a fantastic, loving and loyal companion.

Zak is very intelligent and would benefit from ongoing training once in his new home. His basic training is good and he already have an array of tricks up his sleeve!

Zak will need an experienced and understanding new owner who is happy to take their time getting to know him. Any prospective new owner must be willing and able to visit him at our Somerset centre a number of times to start the slow process of becoming friends!

Once in his new home, any introductions to new people would have to be very controlled and slow, and visitors would have to be minimal.

Zak is an active lad who is obsessed with the car! He loves to travel and will eagerly join you for an adventure or two! He will happily trot alongside you (as long as it’s not raining of course) and enjoy a good run around and play with toys.

Since being at the centre, Zak has perfected 'retrieve' and would love to have a large, secure garden to play in.

He has also made a couple of canine friends who he will happily walk alongside, but Zak can still get worried by other dogs and generally prefers his own space, especially when it comes to loud or boisterous types.

It would be fantastic if his new owner could take him to quieter places, where he can relax without other dogs bothering him. Zak certainly would not want to go to any doggy hotspots!

Zak's new home would ideally be quiet with little coming and going. He would also be best suited to an adult only home with no other pets.
