Apparently 20th January is “Blue Monday”, dubbed the most depressing day of the year. With no evidence to support one particular day as the most depressing in the year, we would much prefer, “Do Something Good Monday”, and make the day much more positive and exciting.
“How?” I hear you ask? Well, let me tell you…
Our centres have some wonderful volunteer opportunities, from spending time with the animals, to helping out at events; there is something to suit everybody. You can find a list of volunteer opportunities listed here on our website, or contact your local centre to discuss volunteering in more detail.
Our centres also welcome staff volunteering days and host working visits from local businesses, get in touch with your local centre to find out more!
Set yourself a new goal to reach, raise money for amazing rescue animals, and get fit all at the same time! Sounds too good to be true? Find out more about our running and cycling places for 2020 on our blog.
Did you know you can feed the cats and dogs at all of our rehoming centres? It really helps with their training, and spending time with the animals at the centre is a sure way to put a smile on your face. Our Watford and Berkshire centres also have on-site cafés with fantastic cake if you need an additional reason to visit.
Did you know that spending time with pets can really boost your mental health?

Our charity shops and centres are always looking for good quality items to sell. Maybe next time you’re on Amazon, consider using Amazon Smile, where Amazon donate 0.5% on eligible purchases to your chosen charity. Find out more on their website at smile.amazon.co.uk
If you would like to purchase something for a pet in one of our centres, visit our Amazon Wish Lists.
Do something really amazing and help a pet every day of the year by sponsoring an animal with a monthly donation.
Whatever you chose to do this Monday, don’t make it Blue, make it special.
