Help dogs like Cherry through the most difficult times of their life with our Big Give Christmas Challenge Appeal

Cherry was only 9 months old when she arrived at NAWT. A miniature Chihuahua crossed with a Yorkshire Terrier, she was a tiny little thing and super cute.

However, young Cherry had a problem; she was heavily pregnant with four extremely large puppies, in comparison to her size. There was absolutely no way Cherry or the puppies were going to survive the full pregnancy; it would have killed all five of them. Unfortunately, Cherry’s pregnancy had to be terminated in order to save at least one life.

Your support paid for the veterinary treatment Cherry so desperately needed to recover from the pregnancy, which had taken its toll on her young little body.

With so much responsibility on her shoulders from such a young age, Cherry didn’t even know how to play when she arrived at NAWT, but it was clear to see that she was such a friendly, shy girl who absolutely adored the company of other dogs. Thanks to you, Cherry is now thriving in a loving home to call her own, with four other dogs who have been busy showing her how to play and how to live carefree now that she can simply enjoy being a young dog in a happy home.
