Heal the wounds of dogs like Grace with our Big Give Christmas Challenge Appeal

Grace, a young wiry-haired Jack Russel Terrier, arrived at NAWT in severe shock and terrible pain following a nasty attack from another dog. She was covered with several bite marks and puncture wounds, with the most severe one opening up her entire back from shoulder to shoulder.

Grace required emergency surgery if she was going to survive the attack and was immediately rushed to the vet. Thankfully, the vet was able to perform lifesaving surgery, which left her with many battle scars but a whole life ahead of her to enjoy.

During her ordeal, one member of the animal care staff in particular fell head over heels in love with Grace, as she willed her to pull through and get better. Following her surgery, Grace headed home with Hayley, the Junior Animal Care Leader at the centre, to be nursed back to health and shown that the world isn’t such a scary place, despite what she’d seen of it so far.

Without your support, which keeps charities like NAWT running, Grace would have died from her injuries. Her young life would have been over before it had really even begun, and she never would have had the chance to see that there are so many wonderful people in the world, who give what they can to save the lives of dogs like her.
