Could you re-home a 'lonely' pet this Valentine's Day?

Roses are red,

Violets are blue,

Zen the Staffie needs some love too.

10-year-old Zen is one of our Watford centre’s longest stay residents and has been without a home for too long.

This Valentine’s Day, we want to find him a warm, loving home that he can enjoy the rest of his days in!

A fantastic companion, Zen has a zest for life and enjoys a fuss. True to his breed, he has a sweet nature and lives to please his handler.

Jackie de Friez, centre manager at NAWT Watford says about Zen: “He’s just a goofy, fun loving dog that wants an owner who is home most of the time.

“More than anything, Zen wants to spend time with you. He can be a bit clumsy but he’s sure to keep you laughing.”

Unfortunately Zen cannot live with other pets, as he prefers all the attention, but he can live with older children (12+) and would make a fantastic companion.

If you’re able to give Zen a home, please contact our Watford centre on 0208 950 0177 (option 2) or e-mail reception@nawt.org.uk

If Zen isn't suitable for your family or lifestyle, here are some of our other lonely hearts:

Charlie - Clacton-on-Sea, Essex

Charlie is a lovely seven-year-old Jack Russell who hasn't had the easiest time.

Since arriving in our care, Chalie has had a few operations and has been a bit poorly, but that definitley has stopped him! He's full of beans and a real character, so is looking for an active home to join.

He loves snuggling into a nice cosy bed and ruffling up in blankets to make his own little nest. Charlie's favourite thing is his tennis ball.

He is always ready to play chase or fetch or anything with a ball! Charlie needs a pet free, adult only home.

If Charlie sounds like the pooch for you, please contact our Clacton centre on 01255 860062 or clacton@nawt.org.uk

Patch - Hayle, Cornwall

Handsome Patch is a confident chap that would love to be your shadow, especially around meal times!

Patch adores food, being groomed, fuss and exploring outside. Patch needs to be the only pet in the home as he can get a bit jealous.

Generally well behaved, Patch can be cheeky and let you know when he doesn't want too much attention or fussing over, so needs to also join an adult only home.

If Patch would settle in well to your home, please contact our Hayle centre on 01736 756005 or cornwallreception@nawt.org.uk

Lex - HULA, Bedfordshire

Lex has found himself struck with bad luck. He's a sweet boy and loves cuddles, but he does have moments where he can get nervous and run away.

Unfortunately Lex ahs been homed a few times from HULA but has always been returned. He struggles to settle in and can sometimes spray in the home. We're sure this is just him adpating to his new surroundings, but Lex needs an owner who will understand this is a habit that will take time to sort.

Lex has FIV, so needs to be an indoor cat but would like plenty of places to roam and enjoy.

If you think Lex is the kitty for you, please give our HULA reception a ring on 01908 584000 or e-mail hula.reception@nawt.org.uk
