Volunteer

Put your passion for animals to work

Our 500 volunteers are our animals’ true friends. We have voluntary opportunities for all sorts of positions from animal food preparation to fundraising, gardening and doing the laundry.

Most of our centres are currently lucky enough to have a full team of volunteers in place taking care of all our animal care work, and we tend to offer existing volunteers these roles as and when they arise, before they are advertised externally. Therefore, whilst we can’t always offer animal care roles, all of our other roles can lead to animal care in the future so please do consider the other ways in which you can help your local centre greatly. Even giving us as little as an hour of your time could make all the difference.

If you want to know more about what it’s like volunteering at the NAWT then read our case studies.

The time given by our volunteers equated to about £395K in monetary terms in 2015.
