Meet Kush!

Hello! My name is Kush, and I am a 9-month-old German Shepherd cross that is looking for a new home. I came into the centre as a relinquish via another organisation, so the only thing that the centre know about me is that I used to live on the streets with my previous owner.

I am a very friendly and energetic girl that needs lots of space to run and play. I will need a home with a large garden that I can use to burn off my energy, in between going for walks of course! I can be a bit jumpy when I am being harnessed up, but that is because I am a bit worried by my harness and I am so excited to go out! I am working on getting used to my harness and being calm before going for a walk.

I can live with older children that could help with my training and wouldn't be knocked over by me if I jumped up. I could also potentially live with another dog, as long as we got on well here at the centre and during a home visit. They would need to be quite a tolerant dog that wouldn't mind having a jumpy adolescent dog live with them! I am unable to live with cats as they are super scary!!

I very very much dislike being left on my own, so a home with a family that are experienced in living with a dog with separation anxiety is really important. I will need there to be someone with me all of the time to begin with, so that they can slowly train me to cope with being on my own, using slow and kind methods. I will also need training in keeping all four paws on the floor and polite greeting.

If you are looking for a bundle of fun like me, then please apply for me today!
