Our Project - Pets & Companion Animal Welfare

Fun and educational talks in the community about responsible pet ownership and companion animal welfare.

Our project is to visit local schools, clubs and groups, to talk about responsible pet ownership and companion animal welfare.

These talks would include topics such as, how to approach a dog, recognising pets behaviours, pets body language, the nutritional needs of your pet, looking for signs of illness, ideal weight of your pet, laws surrounding your dog and pet ownership, and how we train and look after our animals at NAWT. The funding would be put towards equipment to enable us to conduct these talks.

We never stop caring. It's not only the animals that come to us that we aim to help but pets and pet owners throughout the UK that are in need of help, information, advice or support during pet bereavement.

We are often approached by local societies and schools, asking if we can come and give talks and handling demonstrations - so we feel this is a project much needed in the community. We feel if we were able to better equip ourselves, we could provide fun and educational talks to people of all ages in the surrounding area. If we were lucky to be awarded main charity status, we would put the funds to use as soon as possible, and start booking talks and workshops in the local area.

We hope you vote for our project and we look forward to seeing you at one of our talks in the near future.
