Meet Lucy!

Hi everyone! My name is Lucy and I'm a lovely lady on the lookout for my loving forever home. As you might be able to tell...I'm really rather beautiful! I'm a German Shepherd cross..so I'm mainly all German Shepherd except my legs..which are really rather quite a bit shorter giving me a much smaller stature! I am an older lady at 10 years old but no-one has told me that as I certainly don't seem like a golden oldie in many ways! So please don't let that deter you falling in love with me! I've bundles of spirit and I've still got a whole heart full of love to give.

Despite finding myself a bit down on my luck of late, I've been fortunate enough to be spending time in a foster home. I found kennel life a bit stressful so, whilst I made lots of human friends who love me dearly, they knew I'd enjoy the opportunity of foster life where I could relax and feel more myself. My foster humans have described me as the perfect house guest!! I have proven that I'm a really good girl- I'm housetrained, I don't chew up the place and I simply love hanging about with you. I've been enjoying snoozing my head off on that comfy spot on the sofa...or on one of my many cosy beds! I'm always eager for a cuddle and, as us Shepherds often are, I really am loyal and loving to my favourite humans. Whilst I love to spend time with you, I'll patiently wait for you if you do need to pop out but, don't worry, I'll be ready to greet you with a big waggy tail as soon as you get home!

Aside from fuss and attention, my other love in life is certainly my toys. I think I've lost count of how many I have but I know I simply love them all! I do have a few favourites, in particular my soft teddies, but wherever I go my toys are with me too. I've been enjoying too spending time in the garden..in fact, I've proven myself to be quite the great gardening companion and enjoy basking in those early Summer rays by your side.

I'm looking for a forever home that has a nice secure garden that I can mooch around and be content in. Whilst I have enjoyed walks, I don't enjoy meeting other animals and I'm not interested in being pals with the 4-legged variety...human friends suit me just fine! So adventures for me might look a little different to other dogs and I'll need my own garden to chill in...the team here will be more than happy to talk to you more about this and my needs.

Really, I'm searching for that spot on a forever sofa. I'm searching for my person to enjoy life with- someone who can appreciate the company of a good friend...and the quality in a good nap! I'm not looking to share my home with other pets or children but that's ok- I promise I will give you more than enough love!
